He incorporates inluences from bebop to hiphop and even elements of his own musical DNA (courtesy of his Father, renowned blues man Bill “Howlin’ Mad” Perry). But Bill’s talented fingers not only grace the piano, but a computer keyboard as well when he is writing columns and articles featuring his musical ideas and philosophies for various publications.

Bill, of course, stays busy with a number of personal appearances. You may have seen him recently on Mississippi Public Television performing as a member of the Governor’s Arts Awards group with Raphael Semmes and Barry Leach. If you have not seen and heard Bill Perry play live, it’s difficult to describe just what it’s like as he demonstrates the joy of conveying the musical ideas in his mind and enjoying the delivery of those ideas not just with his fingertips but with every fiber of his body.

Bill Perry has a lot to say… with both words and music. You just have to see and hear him yourself. And you’ll be glad you did.
